Classic Film Ireland covers

Happy Birthday to Us

To celebrate its one hundredth issue, we asked Film Ireland's previous editors for reflections on their time with the magazine. The patchwork which results presents a picture not only of Film Ireland's history, but also of the past seventeen years in Irish film. Unfortunately, two former editors could not be contacted; they are represented by editorials from the time.

The former editors:
Johnny Gogan
(Filmbase News 1–17, May 1987–Jun 1990)
John Doyle (Filmbase News 18–28, Jul 1990–Apr 1992) – Represented by a classic editorial
Patrick Barrett (Filmbase News/Film Ireland 29–34, May 1992–May 1993) – Represented by a classic editorial
Frances Power (Film Ireland 35–36, Jun–Sep 1993)
Hugh Linehan (Film Ireland 37–45, Oct 1993–Mar 1995)
Paul Power (Film Ireland 46–54, Apr 1995–Sep 1996)
Ted Sheehy (Film Ireland 55–80, Oct 1996–May 2001)
Tony Keily (Film Ireland 81–95, Jun 2001–Dec 2003)
