Start the
Short Revolution!
Esther Terradas presents a practical guide
to short film funding, with words of advice from short film
producers, working at many different levels.
In the 111 issue of Film Ireland we
provide a comprehensive list of schemes and awards for short
film funding in the category of drama, animation, documentary
and experimental works currently available in Ireland and
Northern Ireland. These schemes are organised according the
stage of production that they fund.
Due to limited space, only those schemes and
awards made to works of 30 minutes or less have been listed.
Training & Production schemes and community groups programmes
are also available, please check the funding bodies mentioned
below for further information.
The information listed is subject to change,
especially deadlines. So before applying, we strongly recommend
that you check with the relevant organizations/institutions
their deadline as well as their criteria for decision making,
guidelines and application forms. While we have done our utmost
to ensure that this listing is as comprehensive as possible,
Film Ireland cannot be responsible for omissions, errors
or scheme cancellations.
