Hitchcock (1899–1980) was an English filmmaker renowned for pioneering psychological thrillers & innovative cinematic techniques. Over a career spanning 6 decades, he directed films such as Psycho, Rear Window, & Vertigo. Hitchcock's 1930 film Juno and the Paycock was a rare early‑sound adaptation of Seán O’Casey’s 1924 Dublin tragedy about the Boyle family struggling through the Irish Civil War.
