Born in London, Danny began acting at 16 in Prime Suspect 3 & appeared in teen TV series throughout the 1990s. He starred in films such as Mean Machine & The Football Factory, and worked on stage with Harold Pinter in Celebration, No Man’s Land, and The Homecoming. Dyer became a household name playing Mick Carter in EastEnders. His film credits also include Borstal Boy, a UK–Ireland co‑production based on an Irish author’s story, the Irish/UK film Human Traffic, and the Irish film One Last Deal.
