Des is a D.I.T. graduate who spent 15 years in the Camera Department before moving into directing. He wrote and directed the acclaimed documentary Showrunners, featuring JJ Abrams, Ronald D. Moore, and others. He has developed Screen Ireland courses on global streaming markets, created TV pitching and LA writers’ room schemes, and lectures internationally on showrunning and US TV. He is developing a new documentary series and co-founded Destination TV.
