Born in Bray, Eva is a Gaiety School of Acting graduate. She began as Regina Crosbie on Glenroe, with early film roles in Borstal Boy, Bloody Sunday & Saltwater & TV appearances in Holby City, Trust & In Deep. Her breakthrough came in Ken Loach’s Ae Fond Kiss, earning IFTA & London Critics Circle Best Actress awards. She won another IFTA for Middletown & her third for Amber (2014). She starred in The Last Kingdom, Bad Sisters & directed Kathleen is Here, receiving multiple IFTA nominations.
