Sir Ridley Scott was born in South Shields, North East England & emerged from advertising through the London-based company Ridley Scott Associates, which he co-founded with his brother Tony. Scott filmed Alien (1979), Blade Runner (1982), Thelma & Louise (1991), Gladiator (2000), Black Hawk Down (2001) & Napoleon (2023) receiving multiple Academy Award nominations. He worked with Niamh Algar in series Raised by Wolves & The Last Duel shot major scenes in Tipperary, Meath, Wicklow & Dublin.
