Goodbye, and the very best of wishes, to our fantastic mentees of 2025. It was a busy few months of projects, radio slots, interviews, and brilliant, brilliant writing from our 2nd annual Film Journalism Mentorship Programme.
From 113 applicants - all top-notch in their own right - we found 9 exceptional creatives to work with.
Year two of the course came to an end last night, and was made possible thanks to our sponsors Screen Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán, and partners Cork International Film Festival and 92.5 Phoenix FM.
Our guest speakers and events covered all the bases: we visited the Raygun Post Production and learned about their work in-house from their welcoming team, then we heard from a host of industry experts across all fields throughout the course.

Over the course of the programmes, our evenings were spent hearing from experts across the industry including Jennifer Davidson (Writers Guild of Ireland), Eibh Collins-O’Brien (National Talent Academies), Eilish Kent (Creative Consultant), Fiona Clarke (Cork International Film Festival), Niall Murphy (Producer), Róisín Kearney (Filmmaker), Ross Whitaker (Documentary Filmmaker), Chris Wasser (The Independent), Chris Brennan (Writing Chops) and the brilliant Sarah Cullen (HeadStuff).
Our final in-person meet-up took place last night at the suitably festive Wild Duck in Temple Bar, where even some of last year’s alumni - Dolapo Agunbiade, Hayley Jorja, and Matthew Briody - braved the storm to toast with us.
To our talented team of programmers, journalists, filmmakers, actors, and creatives - Conor Bryce, Olivia Phoenix, Yuliia Riabova, Ihinose Enebi, Tanvi Gawali, Oscar O'Sullivan, Mark Hernandez, Rachel Melita, and Olivia O’Ríada - thank you. You've been brilliant to work with and we can’t wait to see what you do next!
We are grateful to Ana Paula from Pause Photography for capturing the event so beautifully.
