Born in England actor Claire Foy's maternal grandparents came from Dublin & Kildare & she has described growing up in a large Irish family. She gained recognition for her role in Little Dorrit (BBC, 2008) & received acclaim for portraying Anne Boleyn in Wolf Hall (2015). Foy starred as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown (2016–2017), winning a Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe & multiple SAG Awards. Her film credits include The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Women Talking & All of Us Strangers.
