Gary began his career as a writer and then publisher in Shanghai. Returning to Ireland in 2006, he worked in TV for 7 years before opening Gambit Pictures. He has produced and directed films in Cuba, China, Japan, Europe, America & Brazil. He directed A Doctor's Sword (2015), Broken Rings (TV Mini Series, 2018), Castro's Spies (2020), Piano Dreams (2022), I Dream in Photos (2023) & An Irish Atlantic Rainforest (2026).
