Since the early 2000s, Giovanna has worked across Europe as a storyboard artist and animator. After a decade in France, she moved to Ireland, collaborating with Cartoon Saloon on Song of the Sea, The Breadwinner and Wolfwalkers. She later became Head of Story and Animation Director on My Father’s Dragon for Netflix, directed by Nora Twomey. Her work on The Breadwinner earned an Emile Award in 2018. Her short ÉIRU was Oscar®-shortlisted and screened at 70+ festivals worldwide.
