Katie graduated from TCD with a degree focusing on Russian history. She worked for image magazine before working in wardrobe on The Tudors. She was cast in the Irish film Damage & appeared in La Marea at the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2007. Her screen roles include Morgana in Merlin, Lucy Westenra in Dracula, Sarah Bennett in Slasher & Lena Luthor in Supergirl. She also appeared in W.E., Jurassic World & King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. In 2023, she played The Adjudicator in The Continental.
