Documentary filmmaker McGann lives by the sea in Wicklow, with her wife & their daughter. Inspired by her filmmaker grandfather & cinema-owning grand-uncle, she began making films & producing theatre at 15. She studied film in Ballyfermot, before completing a master’s in documentary filmmaking at Hope University, Liverpool. Her award-winning short The End of the Counter screened internationally, & she has since directed over 20 documentary series for RTÉ, SKY, PBS, BBC, Lonely Planet, and UTV.
