Neil is an actor, singer, writer and producer from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He began his career in Clara’s Heart & Purple People Eater before starring as the title character in Doogie Howser, M.D. His film credits include Starship Troopers, The Smurfs, A Million Ways to Die in the West and Gone Girl. He is known for playing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother and Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events. His stage work includes Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which earned him a Tony Award.
