Dublin actor Tadhg Murphy came to attention in 2015 for his turn as pirate Ned Low in Black Sails. He turned to acting after losing an eye in a childhood accident, training on stage with Druid Theatre Company. Early screen work included Alexander (2004) and Irish TV roles, before a breakout as in Vikings (2013). Murphy’s screen credits include Pride and Joy (2006), Boy Eats Girl (2005), 1916 Seachtar na Cásca (2010) The Northman (2022), The Running Man (2025) & Apocalypse Clown (2023)
