John-Paul Davidson is a British director and producer who began his career at the BBC before moving into freelance filmmaking, where he specialised in documentary storytelling. Davidson directed and produced series such as Stephen Fry in America, Fry’s Planet Word, and Brazil with Michael Palin, blending travel, culture and personal narrative in a distinctive documentary style. He co-wrote and directed The Three Urns, which filmed in Ireland and starred Ciarán Hinds.
