Lance is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has screened at Sundance, Rotterdam, Tribeca, and True/False, and been featured by MoMA and the Smithsonian. He became the youngest New York Times Op-Docs contributor and was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” in 2019. His debut feature, Some Kind of Heaven, premiered at Sundance, followed by Spermworld and HBO’s Ren Faire. In 2026, he made his narrative debut with A24’s Primetime, which premiered at Venice.
