You have a project you believe in. Maybe more than one. But getting it in front of the right people can feel like a whole other skill.
Media Visibility for Creatives is designed to help you define your mission, talk about your work with more clarity and confidence, and build practical ways to connect with collaborators, industry contacts and future opportunities.
Programme Details
Film Ireland, in partnership with the National Talent Academy for Film & TV Drama and supported by Coimisiún na Meán, is delighted to announce Media Visibility for Creatives, delivered by screenwriter, producer and marketing specialist Chris Brennan.
Most creatives know they need to get their work seen. The harder part is knowing where to start, what to say, who to approach and how to make the right people understand why their project matters.
Media Visibility for Creatives has been developed by Chris Brennan from years of work at the intersection of storytelling, marketing and the creative industries, including direct engagement with agents, producers, development executives, managers and other industry decision-makers.
Again and again, the same gap appears. Creatives are often deeply focused on the quality of the work, but have had far less support in learning how to define their mission, explain the value of their project, identify the right people to reach and communicate with them in a clear, professional way.
This programme is designed to give emerging and mid-career screen and media creatives a practical framework for closing that gap. Across the course, participants will define their creative mission, sharpen how they present themselves and their current project, build outreach materials, practise professional relationship-building skills and create a realistic visibility plan they can continue using after the programme.
Participants will be supported through live online sessions, practical exercises, development tasks and one-to-one coaching. By the end, each participant will have created a Professional Visibility Strategy Pack, including a professional mission statement, bio, project positioning materials, outreach templates, a 30-day email outreach plan and a 30-day social media visibility plan.
The aim is to help participants move from: “I have a project I believe in, but I don’t know what to do next.” to “I know how to talk about it, who I need to reach and what I’m going to do next.”

Who Can Apply
The programme is designed for emerging and mid-career screen and media creatives who have a specific project, body of work or professional focus that they are ready to move forward.
This could include a completed or near-completed short film, feature script, TV pilot, documentary, podcast, web series, animation, exhibition, showreel, media project or creative portfolio, as well as projects currently in active development.
You do not need to have a finished film or completed production. However, you should be beyond the very early idea stage and have something tangible that you can discuss, position and promote during the programme.
A strong applicant will be able to say:
“This is the work I want to move forward, this is who it may be for, and these are the kinds of people I need to reach.”
The programme is not intended as a script development or story development course. Applicants should be looking for support with visibility, positioning, outreach and professional development rather than detailed craft or script notes.
Applicants will also need to be comfortable to share work-in-progress, participate in practical exercises, receive feedback and revise their materials throughout the programme.
We welcome applications from creatives of all backgrounds and are committed to supporting a diverse cohort of screen and media talent, including applicants from underrepresented communities, different regions and a range of career stages.
This Programme Includes
Across the course, participants will work through four practical areas:
Professional PositioningParticipants will clarify who they are as creative professionals, define their mission, identify their creative lane and develop a one-paragraph professional bio.
Project PositioningParticipants will strengthen how they present a current project, including the logline or short description, comparable titles, project angle and “why this project, why now” framing. They will also receive guidance on developing a simple project one-sheet.
Outreach & Relationship BuildingParticipants will identify the people they need to reach, build a priority contact list and develop practical outreach templates, including introduction, follow-up and relationship-nurture messages. They will also create a 30-day email outreach plan.
Visibility, Networking & Long-Term MomentumParticipants will explore sustainable ways to stay visible, document their work, network in person and online, and build a 30-day social media visibility plan.
Towards the end of the programme, each participant will receive a 30-minute one-to-one coaching session with feedback on their materials and next steps.
By the end of the course, participants will have developed a Professional Visibility Strategy Pack bringing together their mission statement, bio, project positioning, project one-sheet, contact list, outreach templates, 30-day email outreach plan, professional introduction, 30-day social media visibility plan and next-step actions.
