Dave was born in Dublin and trained as an actor in his teens, working in London theatre before returning to Ireland as Artistic Director at Inter Act School of Acting and introducing Theatretrain to Ireland in 1998. He later joined Lispopple Studios, producing TG4 series Irish Paint Magic and Relax with Watercolour, and exec produced The Line, opening LA Irish Film Festival 2010. After a break, he returned with feature Somebody (2022), wrote and directed Sunphlowers (2024/25).
